From Thought to Logic
Mithal Systems builds the layer between thought and effect: symbolic substrates that carry meaning explicitly, and institutional structures that decide what may be done, by whom, and on whose authority.
Thesis
A process that produces plausible output has not thereby produced an account of itself. It cannot say what it is permitted to do, under whose authority it acts, which commitments follow from which, or what it owes an explanation for. Those are questions of language, structure, and institution, and they do not resolve with scale.
We take the older answer seriously. Meaning is carried in language that can be inspected. Obligation is created by rules that constitute roles, not only by rules that forbid actions. Order is something a system holds rather than approximates. Our work is to give computation that footing, so that what it does can be read, authorised, and answered for.

Rules that constitute rather than restrict — roles and authority, phases and dispatch, and a membrane across which effects on the world are attributable.

Mithal Systems works on the parts of computation that are difficult to retrofit: language, structure, authority, and record. The programme is long-horizon and deliberately narrow — a substrate, Rede, and a constitutive framework, Concord, designed against each other from the start.
